Artistic creations and art in general is one of the passions at Atelier Perséphone. It's no secret that we enjoy it! Yet art isn't so easily accessible... and we don't go to the museum every week to get a glimpse of the work that makes us vibrate!
It is by asking ourselves this question: « But how can we have a piece of art in our daily life? On oneself? » that Atelier Perséphone decided to mix her two passions: the creation of accessories and works of art. The result is the « Pocket Museum », a real pocket museum to take with you wherever you go.
This oil painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau was painted in 1890. It represents Cupid and Psyche, Greek mythological figures, as a child, sharing an embrace and kiss. It marks the beginning of the forbidden romance between Cupic and Psyche.
As a fan of his soft and classical drawing, the Atelier Persephone thought it was a perfect work to be adapted in pine enamel. To have a small piece of love and tenderness with its figures reminiscent of angels and fairies was an attractive idea. It is now done! To be placed anywhere (on any fabric).
