What is intersex?

Intersex refers to individuals who are born with or develop during puberty biological sex characteristics that do not fit traditional definitions of male or female, such as atypical sex chromosomes, external genitalia, or internal reproductive systems. These natural variations are part of how humans are different and wonderful!
